Furlough
Next week I will be serving a furlough for Gannett. A furlough is a manditory week of vacation...great other than it is not paid. During a furlough we cannot check our work email, cell phone, call the office, etc. This will be the first time in vacation history that I have not checked my email or voicemail atleast a few times. The postive is we can apply for unemployment and it is a completely work-free vacation.
During my time away from the office I plan to volunteer, visit friends, work out, and check off a few items on my to do list. Stay positive.
